Tree Ornaments

Materials :
Acrylic paint & assorted brush sizes
3D figure or beveled design for imprint
Clay
Ornament wire hangers

1. Take the clay and make small round balls by placing in the palm
of your hand and rolling in circle motion.

2. Take the round ball and press againts your beveled design or
3D image to get an imprint of the design. We used a dog picture frame
that had diferent dogs and bone shapes. You should see the imprint on the clay.
Probably will need to try a few times until you get the hang of it and the design comes clean

here is the imprint of the dog frame used in our clay. Once you press it against the
design of choice, the round clay will turn into a flat quarter with the image.
Use one of the wire ornament hangers and make a hole. Let the clay dry.
Once the ornament dried, paint in your color of choice
and put the ornament wire to hang in your tree.

ADA'S THANKSGIVING PARTY PIE

Our Thanks to J. Daryll Chester from http://www.emoderndog.com/ for this recipe.
Im honor he named after us.
"Ada's Thanksgiving Party Pie is a seasonal variation of a Shepherd's Pie, traditionally made with lamb or mutton. Americans typically make Shepherd's Pie with beef. The English, Australians and New Zealanders call the beef dish a "cottage pie". Up to the time of the '70's when our companion pets ate our left overs and the occasional meal made just for them, this meal may have been a normal fixture for your dogs during this time of year. My hope is that we get back to whole food meals(non-processed) for ourselves and our companions. Ada's Thanksgiving Party Pie is lined with cooked meat and vegetables, topped with mashed potatoes, and baked. You may make it in a casserole dish or in a pie form. (I could not find my glass pie pie so I used the casserole dish)"

Here is a basic recipe for your Ada's Thanksgiving Party Pie. The original recipe comes from what I can remember of my mother's pre-Thanksgiving 'ish meal. I dressed it up a bit with some seasonal veggies, Worcestershire sauce and pumpkin. This is a perfectly health meal for all dogs, is easy to decorate with different color cheese topping and will impress your guests.

Ada's Thanksgiving Party Pie Recipe

INGREDIENTS
3 lbs ground round beef
1-2 cups vegetables - chopped carrots, corn, peas, cubed pumpkin
1 1/2 - 2 lbs potatoes (3 big ones)
8 tablespoons butter (1 stick)
1/2 cup beef broth
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

METHOD
1 Peel and quarter potatoes, boil in salted water until tender (about 20 minutes).
2 While the potatoes are cooking, melt 4 Tablespoons butter (1/2 a stick) in large frying pan.
3 Sauté cube pumpkin in butter until firm over medium heat (10 mins). Add vegetables, add them according to cooking time. Put in the carrots, then add corn and then the peas.

4 Add ground beef and sauté until no longer pink. Add worcesterchire sauce. Add half a cup of beef broth and cook, uncovered, over low heat for 10 minutes, adding more beef broth as necessary to keep moist.
5 Mash potatoes in bowl with remainder of butter.

6 Place beef in the dish. Distribute mashed potatoes on top. Rough up with a fork so that there are peaks that will brown nicely. You can use the fork to make some designs in the potatoes as well. Your MAY add the mixed cheese on top for coloring and added flavoring.
7 Cook in 400 degree oven until bubbling and brown (about 30 minutes). Broil for last few minutes if necessary to brown.
